Nissan Quest 2008 Review
About Nissan Quest
The Nissan Quest is a minivan produced by Nissan since 1993. There have been three generations of this model. The first generation Nissan Quest was a collaboration with Ford, which produced the mechanically identical and cosmetically similar Mercury Villager.

The Nissan Quest was a new model made by Nissan to compete in the minivan segment. The Nissan Quest was a successor to the Axxess, which was sold in the United States in 1990 only and in Canada from 1990-1995. It also replaced the rear-wheel drive Vanette, also discontinued in 1990. The Nissan Quest was initially powered by Nissan's 3.0 L VG30E SOHC engine that made 151 hp (the engine is a slightly modified version of that found in other Nissan vehicles; one of the requirements of Ford was it be modified to become a non-interference engine, thus if the timing belt breaks, there would be no damage to the valves). The Nissan Quest was available as GXE or XE models. Because of manufacturing issues, Nissan had an arrangement for Ford to assemble the minivan in North America, and in turn they were allowed to rebadge it and sell it under the Mercury brand as the Villager. Many of the interior parts, including the radio, heater controls and power windows controls were adapted from Ford, and were similar to the Ford Aerostar. This generation of the Nissan Quest minivan was built in Avon Lake, Ohio, where the Villager was also built. The van shares a modified version of the VG30E from the U11, and early J30 Maximas, as well as the automatic transmission from the Maxima.

Specifications Nissan Quest
The Nissan Quest is distinguishable by a grille and headlights that are slightly shorter top to bottom than those on the Villager. Both vehicles were initially powered by the 3.0 L Nissan VG30E V6 until 1999, when the Nissan Quest received the 3.3 L version of the same engine. The Nissan Quest was completely redesigned for 2004, while the Villager was discontinued and replaced with the Mercury Monterey. The current model is built on the FF-L platform, which it shares with the Altima, Maxima, and Murano. It also shares the award-winning 3.5 L VQ engine with those cars.

Review
We have owned 3 previous minivans and have been pleased with all 3 for there everyday and vacation utility to haul 4 children, a bunch of luggage and still not break your back at the gas pump. When we started out this time we set ourselves on the Odyssey EXL w/DVD or Toyota Sienna XLE. These are suppose to be the champs. We loved the Honda versus our prior Chrysler T&Cs for the style and build. We favored the Honda over the Sienna's styling, we were buying the Honda. I decided after further research to look at the redesigned Nissan Quest 3.5 SE. We were instantly impressed by this luxury/sport vans handling! This blows away the concept that minivans have to be boring, unimaginative people movers Review By: ithndr

This is our 3rd Nissan Quest, previously had a 1994, 2004 and now the 2008. I love this van I am 5'9, my husband is 6'3, my sons are 6'6 and 6'8, and I have two young daughter's as well. Would you believe there is room left over. We are going camping next month and we will definitely have a better time with all the space. The look and feel of the car is beautiful, the sound system is awesome!. Review By: Colette

Review
We just bought a 2008 Nissan Quest after looking and driving other make(Honda & toyota), but in my own opinion this is the best among them, in terms of performance, comfort, finish quality and value. This van runs like my E 350 MB, very smooth and responsive, and more features for your money. Reliability and dependabilty, I like Nissan Quest, this is our fifth nissan car.Review By: atf
